Archers Head to World Competition in June

The Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery teams from Evans Middle School and Ottumwa High School qualified to compete at NASP National Archery in the Schools Program) 2018 World Tournament in Louisville, KY in June. 

Teams from Evans and Ottumwa High School competed at the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) National Competition in Louisville this past weekend in Bullseye and 3-D Archery competition. Individual competitive archers, Kiley Bankson, Liberty Elementary, in 3-D competition and Alondra Huisinga, Wilson Elementary, in Bullseye and 3-D Competition, also qualified. 

Evans secured qualifying team scores to compete at NASP World Competition in Bullseye and 3-D Competition and Ottumwa High School secured a qualifying team score to compete at NASP World Competition in 3-D competition.  The teams are headed back to Louisville to compete in the NASP World Competition June 7-9.

The district began the Archery in the Schools Program during the 2014-15 school year. The group has grown by leaps and bounds in members and accomplishments.
