Tumble Books Available at Ottumwa Library

The Ottumwa Public Library recently subscribed to a new service for the community called, “Tumble Books.”  Through Tumble Books, patrons will now be able to go to the library’s website 24/7 and read children’s e-books, play learning games, and have books read aloud to them.

For access, go to the Ottumwa Public Library website at www.ottumwapubliclibrary.org and click on Tumble Books under Quick Links.

The Tumble Book Library is a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles, Read-Alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation), TumbleTV which consists of pre-set play lists of a sequence of books and Tumble Puzzles & Games. Tumble Books are created from existing picture books which they have licensed from children's book publishers and converted to the Tumble Book format.

Patrons can also access Tumblebooks via any reading device that has an internet connection (for example: Nook, Kindle Fire, iPads & iPod touch users). Our site should automatically redirect you to “TumbleBookLibrary: For iPads and Mobile Devices”. If not, please click on the drop down menu at the top right corner and choose “Mobile” then “Go”.
