Mobile Museum Visits Eisenhower

Third graders from Mrs. Burton's class listen to the tour guide.

A large black and gold tour bus was parked at Eisenhower this morning. The bus held the University of Iowa's Mobile Museum. According to the U of I, "The Mobile Museum inspires visitors to understand the world by bringing exhibits with cutting-edge research, one-of-a-kind artifacts, and interactive digital media to Iowa’s communities statewide."

Third, fourth and fifth graders experienced three different exhibits, including:

  • Oneota Archaeological Connections featuring information about the Ioway Indians,
  • Delving Deep:  Scientific Discoveries from Iowa's Ancient Sea, and
  • Speaking of Work:  The Iowa Labor History Oral Project
