Have you wanted to give back to your community but don't know the best way to give? Well, the fifth grade students at Liberty Elementary do! They donated 1,348 items in under three weeks!
Liberty Elementary's fifth grade students participated in a food drive to help those without food. Two fifth grade teachers, Mr.Gravett and Ms.Fisher, had the idea to raise items for the local food bank. “We wanted to teach students about generosity and about giving back to the community,” said Mr. Gravett.
Peanut butter and tuna were the most requested items. The items will be donated to the local food bank.
