First Day of School Procedure (August 23)
On the first day of school only, classes will be split into morning and afternoon groups. This will allow for you to have a meal with your child, tour the new building, meet the new building team, and help support your child on their first day of school. Splitting the classes will also make the first day less overwhelming for you and your child and provide you time to become acquainted with the new setting.
AM Group- 8:10 am- 11:10 am (Breakfast will be served)
PM Group- 12:10 pm- 3:10 pm (Lunch will be served)
We will begin checking students and families into the building approximately 5 minutes prior to your start time on this day. Students and families will recieve their school badge and be directed to the Multipurpose Room.
Before and After School
For parents who need to drop off their child prior to 8 a.m. or pick-up after 3:30 p.m., Pickwick's WRAP program is available. Parents and students signed up for WRAP will park in the Parent Parking Lot and bring their child into the Multipurpose Room. Do NOT use the car line. It will be the same procedure for picking your child up.
On Friday, this program accepts DHS Childcare Assistance.
Preschool Car Line
You and your child will recieve their School Badge at our First Day Open House on August 23, 2018. Please remember to keep the parent badge in your vehicle and the student badge attached to their backpacks. If you need extra badges for other people who may be transporting your child, please let their teacher know on this day. You will also recieve a sign on this day to keep in your car to help us with the dismissal process. Please have this sign on your dashboard when picking up your child.
- This is a new procedure and will take some time to refine. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
- The safest option is to have your child sitting on the passenger side in the backseat. This way staff can help get your student out of the vehicle and they will not have to exit into the parking lot.
- Individuals picking up a child MUST be 18 years of age or older and MUST be on the students ID tag and Contact List. All individuals will also need an ID fo rproof of identification for safety purposes.
There will be a North Side and a South Side shuttle provided to students who are registered to use the busing system. These buses will pick students up and drop students off at all ACTIVE elementary schools and will be labeled as a Pickwick bus. The bus schedule is as follows:
Contact the office if you need to register for busing services.
