Instructional Hours Adjusted for Remainder of 2023-24 School Year

Ottumwa Schools Families,

Concerning our Winter snow days and the adjustment of our instructional hours, we intend to compensate for the instructional hours lost on April 19, May 3, and May 17 by extending our early dismissal to a full day for students and teachers. We will extend our initial last day of school on May 23 to a full instructional day, and add May 24 with an early dismissal, as our last day of school.

The following schedule adjustments will be for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year:

  • Friday, April 19 full instructional day

  • Friday, May 3 full instructional day

  • Friday, May 17 full instructional day

  • Thursday, May 23 full instructional day

  • Friday, May 24, 1:00 pm Dismissal, Last Day of School
